The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs.  There's also a negative side.

Here's some information about the band members and what they do both in the band and away from the band.
Sid Hagan has performed with numerous bands for well over 40 years including stints as a session singer on both records and commercials.  He's logged hundreds of hours of studio time in Los Angeles, El Paso, Atlanta,  Iowa, and currently in Virginia has established himself as a "go to" mastering engineer and recordist with a reputation for getting the "sound" that separates "local" recordings from "world class" projects.  His clients span the musical spectrum from jazz to new age and everything in between.  He plays guitars, some keyboards, sings, writes songs, and runs O.K.Then Records out of the basement of his home in Lynchburg, VA.  He's the ad hoc leader of The Purveyors and also the band's main arranger.

Cassie Hagan didn't start singing professionally until she married Sid in 1984 and over a more than a 20 year period has blossomed into one of the finest and soulful singers anywhere.  Her voice is clear and direct and she is a master of "just singing the song".  Over the years she's developed her own signature style that's instantly recognized by folks all over Virginia and beyond.  Cassie is also an executive with a large international corporation and travels extensively these days but still loves to sing with the band whenever the gigs line up with her being home.  Her voice is the lead voice of the band.

Multi-instrumentalist Billy Worley has played in various rock bands since he was a teenager in the Lynchburg and Hampton Roads areas and he's also an accomplished singer and songwriter having his songs published by Nashville publishing houses specializing in Gospel music.  The most notable thing worth mentioning here is that he never traveled to Nashville to actually "pitch" the songs and still was able to garner major interest in the demos he sent that were recorded in his basement studio.  Billy is one of the best musicians to ever play in The Purveyors
and his playing and musical expertise adds depth, power, and blazing chops that leave audiences amazed.

Robbie Wells has been playing with the band on and off since 2002.  He's another band member who also has his own career and who plays with a multitude of other groups besides the Purveyors.  He has several CDs of his own out along with his twin sons and has also played with the Lynchburg Symphony performing his original compositions.  He teaches violin and guitar lessons and is one of the most respected musicians in Virginia and we're mighty fortunate that he plays with us whenever he's available.  The interplay between Billy and Robbie is truly something to behold and they prove with every performance that they're two of the finest players on the planet.

Great for just about any event you'd care to hire them for whether it's a garden party or a wine festival, this band mixes the exceptional with the unexpected and will wow your crowd.
